Tips for a calm flight
Simple habits that help — before the course, after it, or alongside the toolkit.

Helpful habits
- Tell the crew — choose a friendly person and make them your ally for the whole flight.
- Accept your fear and talk about it as soon as you feel unwell — do not shut yourself away.
- Remember that fear is not danger: being afraid of flying ≠ "flying is dangerous".
- The day before: funny film, good evening, reasonable bedtime. Light meals on the day itself.
- Start a conversation with your neighbour or cabin crew.
- Keep busy with a plan of activities — a screen (games, video) often lowers anxiety faster than a dense book.
- Get up and walk in the aisle when possible.
- Write your fears in a notebook; ask the flight attendant for precise information.
- Music, pre-recorded relaxation, audiobook, magazines, crosswords, drawing…
