The course

How a course unfolds

Discover the airport together, learn how a plane flies, understand what scares us and give ourselves permission to live freely.

You are welcomed at Geneva Airport by aviation professionals, such as SWISS airline pilots. The course can run over a few hours, one day, 2 days or 3 days. The goals, mechanisms and results are the same in the end.

It is an exceptional human experience, including intense sharing of emotions, joy and hope. It is the beginning of a new life that is yours to build as you wish. The group dynamic will continue to produce its beneficial effects thanks to ongoing contact between alumni (WhatsApp groups, monthly newsletters, activities, revision sessions, practice flights, trips that partners and relatives can join).

Stay motivated

Each person's motivation to change their reactions to flying is essential. Sometimes aerophobes are so afraid they do not have the strength to follow the course. In that case, we start in a neutral place (station, café…).

After a first contact, it often takes several months, or even several years, before finding the courage to register. Testimonials from alumni and personal contact before the course are essential.

The journey, step by step

  1. Before the course

    Getting to know each other

Phone call, over coffee or via Zoom, to talk about your fear and determine who your ideal coaches will be. Fabienne can put you in touch with former participants or send you photos from past courses.

Wednesday evening at 8pm (about 1 hour): first Zoom contact with alumni and newcomers in your group. Zoom link sent — nothing to install.

  2. Friday

    At the airport

A coffee break and a breathing technique break are planned during the afternoon.

Lunch: meal with the coaches at the Chalet Suisse.

Afternoon: end-of-course flight with your coach.

  4. Sunday

    Return & victory

    End-of-course flight with your coach.

After landing, about an hour of debriefing to revisit what you enjoyed most during the flight, which tools helped you most, and your next step on the path to freedom — your next flight.

After the course

You stay in touch with your cohort and your coaches through your group’s WhatsApp group.

We give you a VIP card to show future crews so you can be looked after on board.

You receive the list of all our activities in a monthly newsletter.

Each month Fabienne organises a revision session and a practice flight with retired captains. Alumni also organise trips and flights — supported by association volunteers.
