The course
Frequently asked questions
The most common doubts before registering — with honest answers.

Does it really work?
About 98% of people who complete the course fly again. The key is the real flight with your coach (a former participant), after theory at the airport. If you doubt, Fabienne can put you in touch with an alumnus.
What if I am too afraid to register?
That is common. You can start with a conversation (phone, Zoom or coffee), take theory only and fly later, or begin in a neutral place.
How do I register?
Fill in the form on the Register page. Send a WhatsApp or a written phone message to Fabienne. She calls you back for a conversation, then you confirm a date and the arrangements together. There is no self-service calendar: the first step is human.
How much does it cost? Can I pay in instalments?
CHF 1000.- for the course. CHF 70.- association membership. The end-of-course flight is optional but strongly recommended: you buy your tickets and your coach’s. Instalments and a gift voucher are possible.
Can children and teenagers take part?
Yes: from age 10, and formats exist for teens. Fabienne adapts the support. Mention it during the conversation.
Do I need to stop my medication?
No. The course does not replace medical advice. Any treatment must be prescribed by a doctor. Self-medication is not allowed. Your usual treatments should be taken during the course.
Where does it take place? How long is it?
At the moment, our activities take place at Geneva Airport. The comfortable format lasts 3 days (Friday to Sunday). Shorter formats can be offered; the goals stay the same.
What happens after the course?
Our association offers free follow-up, revision sessions, practice flights accompanied by coaches and retired captains, meetings and visits to deepen your knowledge of aviation. There is a newsletter and WhatsApp groups. You are not alone after the weekend.
Can AI replace the course for overcoming fear of flying?
An AI can explain turbulence, suggest breathing exercises or reassure you in the moment. It does not replace what makes this course work: practising with a coach from our team, the group dynamic, and proof of your success lived in your body, not only in a text. Fear changes through the real experience of flying. It is like learning to walk: you walk a first time holding your parents’ hand, then you walk freely.
Can I use ChatGPT or another AI before / during the course?
Yes, to inform yourself or revise tools. It cannot replace human experience: you are not a robot, and this fear is irrational, so rational answers cannot help you. Be especially wary of medical advice or treatments generated automatically. On the course you receive human, professional, individual and contextual answers, and an alumni community after the weekend — something no AI provides lastingly.
Another question?
Gladly. Write to Fabienne: she will be delighted to hear from you. No question is too small when you fear flying, and there is no value judgement in our team, because we are all former phobics.
